Saturday and Sunday 8:00am – 12:00pm
Sitting down to write this, I discovered that I’m probably the most blessed person I know. And I’m very grateful. I have a wonderful family, good friends, and I have had the rare good fortune to play, work and earn a living in the business/vocation I have always loved the most: local radio.
I could talk for hours about radio—tell you about its unique ability to not only entertain and inform, but to connect people in ways that support and enhance their individual and collective lives, whether it’s by just keeping them company or supporting and promoting, often participating in the many programs and events initiated to benefit members of the community and beyond. PLUS I could go on about how much fun I’ve had and the countless wonderful people and experiences I’ve enjoyed over the 40+ years I’ve been in radio. What a ride!
I was born and raised in New Jersey, went to school there, including college, and married Charlotte. Shortly after, we moved just a little north to New York’s scenic Hudson River Valley and my first full time radio gig. I was fortunate to spend most of my career and raise our two daughters here. That was unusual because, especially back then, it was customary that if you were in radio you had to move all over the place to “progress.”
I retired from my full time radio morning show in December 2019, and have stayed on the air, parttime almost ever since. I am delighted now, to be joining the wonderful team at WALL Radio, a group of people, kindred spirits really, who share my passion for LOCAL radio. I am delighted to be hosting the Saturday and Sunday morning show, from 8 to noon, right before my good friend for many years, Mark Bolger. New experiences await, and I am so happy to be sharing the time with YOU.
