Paul came to Newburgh in March of 1995 when he was hired by New York State Civil Service as a Law Enforcement Officer and was transferred down to this area from upstate Plattsburgh, N.Y. While in Plattsburgh, Paul served in the United State Air Force from 1989-1993 during Desert Storm and Operation Restore Hope in Somalia.
During his free time in the military, he could be found DJing for small weddings and parties. In 2000 Paul pursued his interest in Photography and studied at the New York Institute of Photography where he graduated two years later. From then, he went into the Professional Photography business where he became a well-known cameraman in the Hudson Valley. Two of his most famous images taken in August of 2001 of the World Trade Center were used as a fundraiser following 9/11 raising thousands of dollars in just two weeks for the FDNY Widows and Children’s Fund.
After Covid subsided, Paul decided to get back into the music business as the owner of DJ Paulie H Entertainment. As a member of the Orange County Chamber of Commerce, Paul was introduced to the staff at WALL Radio where he soon jumped on board to do music and sound at their events. Paul is also a published author in 13 countries for Austin MaCauley Publishers USA.
In his off time, he is involved with several law enforcement organizations and is currently the Network Systems Administrator for Orange County Law Enforcement News. For 35 years, Paul also has been a volunteer firefighter in the Town of Newburgh having served as a line officer for 8 of those years. Paul currently resides in the Town of Newburgh, has two children and continues to operate his growing business DJ Paulie H Entertainment in the Hudson Valley. www.djpaulieh.com!
