Dear WALL Radio friends,
We love sharing nostalgic throwback posts and for the New Year we had a new idea. We would like to read and hear stories from you about your memories growing up and living in the Hudson Valley. You can write notes and post them to our Facebook page, maybe even include some pictures. Some ideas are memories from places you have lived, events you went to, family treasures, games you played, favorite movies, businesses you shopped at, and especially music you enjoyed or concerts you went to. With your permission your stories could be shared on our website and maybe even talked about on the air. Looking forward to reading your messages! 🙂
Some stories we have received so far include:
“As a Middletown native living in the wilds of OH, WALL was a big part of growing up, One of my best memories was the good times had at the Middletown Skateland, sock hops, etc. Shopping at Tompkins, Newberry’s with my grandma, riding the “old” buses. Graduating from MHS, had the best childhood in my wonderful hometown.” – Sueann Souter McIntyre
“Shopping at Playtogs. Pt boutique!” – Kathryn Scott
“I used to enjoy the holiday displays at the Orange Plaza. What a nice little mall, when things were simple around the Middletown area.” – Nate Spence
