Kevin Siegel grew up in Dutchess County, New York in the town of La Grange. He always had a passion for different kinds of music, from Doo-Wop music of the 50’s, to popular music of the 60’s and 70’s up to the current hits of today. He loved sports growing up and listened to sports radio on WFAN 660/101.9 as a kid every night before bed. Needless to say, that was when the radio aspirations or “dreams”, no pun intended, really began!
After graduating from Arlington High School where he played for the Golf Team, he decided to try and work in sports, specifically golf. He attended Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for the Professional Golf Management specialization program. After three years at Coastal Carolina University, he decided that he really had a passion for radio…he wanted to change the course of his education and give radio a try! Wanting to go “all in”, he transferred north to upstate New York (From warm sandy beaches to frigid temperatures and snow? Really?!) to SUNY Potsdam’s Speech Communication Program where he knew friends and wanted to meet new people (and play for their Golf Team which he did!). He hit the ground running with an internship, part-time radio gigs and calling college sporting events while in College. After graduating SUNY Potsdam (with Honors!!) he landed an on-air position as a newscaster and then his own country music morning show in Ogdensburg, NY. (only Antarctica is colder!).
When listening to Kevin on the airwaves, you’ll find that he brings a lot of energy to the table. So when you wake up in the morning, you’ll be sure to hear his positive, energetic vibe! He may be our youngest morning show host, but he knows the important values in life like family, which he stresses ALWAYS comes first. You will hear him talk about his two dogs, his family members, his interests like fishing and golf and really get to know who Kevin is. Kevin is very excited to be here with us, and he is looking forward to having fun with you every single night on WALL Radio!
