Simple, Cheap & Effective Plant Propagation for Gardeners
Join Erik Schellenberg, Commercial Horticulture Educator of Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County at the Education Center & 4-H Park for a Simple, Cheap and Effective Plant Propagation for Gardeners workshop on Saturday, October 23rd from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M.
This course will cover propagation methods that can help gardeners multiply a wide variety of plants for little or no money and a minimal investment of time. The focus will be on propagating native plants that serve beneficial roles such as pollinator support, wildlife food and habitat, soil building, hyperaccumulation, filtration, and carbon sequestration.
There will be a 1-hour socially distanced lecture followed by a 45-minute hands-on activity where participants will be able to put the ideas into practice and help propagate various species of plants to vegetate a newly created rain garden. Please bring gloves and clippers!
The cost to register is a recommended fee of $10 per individual however there is also a $0 solidarity pricing (for those who cannot pay at this time).
