  • « United Way breakfast & Kindness Champion
  • Parenting class via Zoom »

The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education (EFNEP) program at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Orange County will be presenting “Let’s Chat about Nourishing Your Family”, an online eight-week nutrition workshop series on Wednesdays from September 30th through November 25th. All classes will be from 3:30 – 4:30 PM using the Zoom platform online.

This interactive series will offer strategies, tools, and knowledge to help families improve food and physical activity behaviors, food resource management, food safety, and food security. There is no fee for this series, but pre-registration is required. Please call Annemarie Stephens at 845-344-1234 ext. 273 to register and email her at as488@cornell.edu with any questions. Once registered, the Zoom links will be emailed to you to participate. If you have questions regarding how to use Zoom, please do not hesitate to ask!

Since 1969, the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) has successfully addressed critical societal concerns by employing paraprofessional staff and influencing nutrition and physical activity behaviors, particularly those with young children. Through a community-based, relationship-driven, interactive educational approach, EFNEP has directly impacted economic, obesity, and food insecurity challenges that hinder the nutritional health and well-being of this nation. In New York State, EFNEP is administered through Cornell University and delivered by Cornell Cooperative Extension on the county level.

Cornell Cooperative Extension and its partnerships provide programs for Orange County residents on youth and family development; nutrition, health, and food safety; community and economic vitality; and agricultural sustainability through Cornell based research.  Committed to Orange County, we design programs to meet local needs to enable people to improve their lives and communities.  For more information call Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County at 845-344-1234 or visit our website at www.cceorangecounty.org.
