The Sullivan County Chamber Orchestra

Four Sundays in May
May 3rd, 17th, 24th & 31st, 2020 at 4:00 – 5:00 pm

Each event will feature live streaming concerts and unique discussions with artists from the Sullivan County Chamber Orchestra The series kicks off May 3rd at 4:00 with practice and preparation techniques hosted by SCCO co-founders, Akiko Hosoi and Artistic Director, Andrew Trombley, The Argentinian sound with JP Jofre, Four Seasons of Sullivan County with composer Nancy Wegrzyn, Bach and beyond, and more.

SCCO is Sullivan County’s year-round resident chamber orchestra. Musicians who have performed in many of the world’s most iconic venues with some of the world’s leading ensembles come together to work and play in Sullivan County. Through collaboration with living composers and original arrangements SCCO creates innovative programming to elevate the quality of life for all generations through artistic expression and cultural experiences. SCCO serves the community and elevates the quality of life by providing orchestral concerts, chamber music, recitals, and pop-up “free” concerts in historic, forgotten and undiscovered venues.

Andrew Trombley: Director of the Sullivan County Chamber Orchestra Andrew Trombley is Artistic Director of the Sullivan County Chamber Orchestra, professor of double bass at New York University, Steinhardt School. and is Principal Bass of the New Haven Symphony Orchestra.

He has performed with ensembles such as The New York Philharmonic, The Minnesota Orchestra, The Metropolitan Opera, New York City Ballet and was formerly principal bass of Mostly Mozart Orchestra. In addition Andrew is an active musician for film scores and has collaborated with musicians from the New York
Philharmonic, and The Metropolitan Opera. Dedicated to arts education, Andrew is co-founder of The Aspiring Young Musicians (AYM) program which offers private lessons and performance opportunities to the students of Sullivan County, his childhood home. Currently 80% of the students receive financial assistance and the program offers over 100 lessons every week.
