Virtual Program for Parents & Caregivers of Children
Offered by CCE Orange County

Are you interested in learning new parenting strategies and tools? Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County is once again offering our popular program called Discipline is NOT a Dirty Word, a lite version, fully online in six one-hour sessions beginning Wednesday, September 22nd through Wednesday, October 27th from 7:00 – 8:00 P.M.

This FREE interactive series is filled with resources about child development, emotional coaching, parenting tools and fun in correspondence with participants’ interests and needs. There will be ample room for questions and discussions that support building parental confidence and wellbeing.

Julika von Stackelberg, Parenting & Community Resilience Educator at CCE Orange County, says “we are excited about switching things up and making this series accessible and safe for busy parents to attend. We have adapted many of the tools and activities to coordinate with what it’s like parenting in a pandemic, which I think will be very useful to many parents at this time.”

The virtual format gives participants the opportunity to log-in from anywhere, without having to worry about childcare, driving, or time constraints. The program is interactive and promises to be engaging, despite it being online. For more information or to register, please visit www.cceorangecounty.org/events. Once registered, you will receive the Zoom links to participate. Please contact Julika von Stackelberg at 845-344-1234, extension 274 or by emailing jv426@cornell.edu with any questions.

Cornell Cooperative Extension and its partnerships provide programs for Orange County residents on youth and family development; nutrition, health, and food safety; community and economic vitality; and agricultural sustainability through Cornell based research.  Committed to Orange County, we design programs to meet local needs to enable people to improve their lives and communities.  For more information call Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County at 845-344-1234 or visit our website at www.cceorangecounty.org.
