Cornell Cooperative Extension of Orange County Seeks Applicants for Teen Leadership and Careers Development Program
June 21 - August 30
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Orange County is currently accepting applications for their Teen Leadership and Careers Development program that directly prepares youth ages 13-19 for work force engagement.
Through monthly, Wednesday night meetings, teens actively learn interview skills, resume building, public speaking and communication skills, team building, and interpersonal skills through social engagement. The program offers speakers from a variety of career fields that expose youth to potential career choices and informs about what education requirements exist in potential career pathways.
The youth in the program also participate in a community service experience, a marketing experience, visit colleges and learn to prepare college applications. Acceptance into the program is based on prior application and interview and requires a $15.00 annual 4-H youth membership. Applications may be procured by emailing CCE 4-H Resource Educator, Ingrid Hill, at firstname.lastname@example.org or calling Carol at 845-344-1234. Application deadline for the 2019-2020 school year is Friday, August 30, 2019.
