Ignite: The Art Affair Gala
November 19, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Orange County Arts Council announces The Art Affair – Not Your Typical Gala, with this year’s fiery theme, “Ignite.” The event will take place on Saturday, November 19, 6:00-10:00 at UAP, 453 NY 17K, Rock Tavern, NY. Honorees this year are internationally-renowned sculptor Ursula von Rydingsvard, UAP/Polich Tallix Workshop Team, and video producer/mentor Everett Collie/EC Media Group. “Ignite” also features an immersive art experience produced by Ed Manner, with original music and choreography by Ralph M’Vore. All proceeds from The Art Affair: Ignite directly support programs and cultural events such as Hudson Valley Creative Impact, The Student Arts Showcase, Arts Outreach initiatives, and Community Arts Grants. OCAC is only able to provide these programs and cultural events with your generosity.
Sculptor Ursula von Rydingsvard is best known for creating large-scale works influenced by nature, primarily using cedar and other forms of wood. Locally, her works Luba and For Paul can be found at Storm King Art Center. She is the recipient of numerous awards and her works are exhibited throughout the United States.
UAP is a global leader in delivering bespoke art and design projects and recently acquired Polich Tallix Fine Art Foundry, making UAP the biggest art foundry in the world. With a legacy that dates back to 1968, this organization is one of the country’s premier fine art foundries, providing artists with the industrial capabilities and technological expertise required to realize their creative vision. UAP has forged the works of such artists as Ai Weiwei, Louise Bourgeois, Alexander Calder, Nancy Graves, Roy Lichtenstein, Jeff Koons, Richard Serra, and Claes Oldenburg.
Everett Collie/EC Media Group, LLC was certified in 2015 as an MWBE minority owned equal opportunity employer to provide training and career opportunities for prospective interns and college graduates participants located in the Hudson Valley region. Their team of graphic designers, photographers and videographers are diverse and experienced. EC Media Group’s Reel Pitch internship program has provided a number of jobs for college students.
